Mark Meier

Mark has worked and/or lived in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin for the last 15 years. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Marian University in 2008. He started with wisnet as an intern and they wouldn’t let him leave. 10+ years later the relationship is going strong.

At wisnet, Mark is a senior application programmer spending most of his time as a database administrator. You will also find him working with and building applications that function with third party API’s to make custom implementations of a product that expand a products designed abilities and mold it into that of his client’s vision.

Mark’s wife Megan is a project manager for a Chicago based marketing firm. They have two daughters.

While not at wisnet, Mark enjoys spending his time teaching mime classes at the local state poly tech college. He is also an avid tinkerer of antique cuckoo clocks. The thrill of what might be around the next corner keeps him on his toes. He is always seeking out and chasing leads for the local parade planning commission’s office. His parade procurement skills earned him a 2nd place blue ribbon at the international parade bureau’s 2016 convention and trade show. He has an affinity for simplifying tasks and aspires to own a robotic lawn mower someday.

Guilty pleasure: Finding Bigfoot. Either thousands of people are crazy or he’s out there somewhere. Rocking out to EDM music while programming. Everyone in the office has seen him dancing at his desk with headphones on.

Most unusual job: “De-beaking” chickens on a chicken farm. It’s exactly what it sounds like.
